The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), has finally announced, “Film, Family Values and the Society”, as the topic for the 2012/2013 edition of its annual Film Essay Competition. It has also opened entry submissions for the competition.
 A statement from the NFC, which was made available to ACTION! says that the topic is being released, on the heels of the just concluded ZUMA Film Festival, 2012 which among others, featured the presentation of cash prizes to winners of the 2011/2012 edition of the (NFC) Annual Film Essay Competition, to enable for wide and quality participation.
 The topic seeks to evaluate the challenges inherent in home video/films, whether or not they enhance core and positive family values, and its effect on the society among others, the statement signed by Brian Etuk, Head, Public Affairs, added.
As part of the terms and conditions, winners in past editions of the Essay Competition are not eligible to participate, just as the participation age remains 18 years and above, and a participant must be a Nigerian.

 All Essays must not be less than eight pages on A4 paper size, single spaced with full contact details of participant(s) and a one page bio-data.
The First Prize winner goes home with N100,000; Second Prize, 75,000 and Third Prize, 50,000.
